Retreats

An Individually Directed Retreat for those wanting to follow Jesus and contemplate his encounters the 40 days after Easter, from the resurrection to his ascension.

As Jesus meets face-to-face with Mary Magdalene, his disciples, two on the road to Emmaus, 500 of his followers, and Peter on the shores of the sea of Galilee, participants will be guided to consider how Christ’s resurrection reforms our experiences with grief, shame, doubt, fear, and despair.

Spiritual Direction will be offered once each week, for a total of 5 sessions, throughout the retreat. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to practice Ignatian Contemplation, to share their experiences in contemplative prayer with their Spiritual Director, and to receive Spiritual Direction. Spiritual Direction sessions can be scheduled in-person in San Luis Obispo, CA or on Zoom.
